It’s been a while since I’ve shared one of my monthly running playlists.
Truth is, I don’t just use them for running. They’re my secret weapon for getting moving when my motivation is low. When I can’t seem to find the energy, I put on fresh tracks, lace up my shoes, and head out the door. Sometimes it’s for a run, other times a bike ride, a swim, or just a wander through the neighborhood.
Over the years, I’ve noticed a pattern: after about a month, I’m ready for a reset. My playlists are like mini time capsules — each one capturing a specific season of my life. Some months, I build something brand new from scratch. Other times, I revisit old playlists, borrowing a few songs or rediscovering one I’d forgotten, only to have it flood back a wave of good memories.
This August, there’s one song that perfectly fits my current season: “Somedays” by Sonny Fodera, Jazzy, and D.O.D. It’s the track I can play anytime and instantly catch a good vibe, no matter what’s going on. It’s upbeat without being frantic, grounded but hopeful — the kind of song that reminds you that forward motion doesn’t always have to be full speed.
If you’re in a season where you need a little push, whether that’s to move your body, start a new project, or just step outside, maybe this playlist will be your nudge too.
Take a listen below, find your rhythm, and see where it takes you.
